Appointed to provide multi-disciplinary services for a £10 million extra care and residential development for Jessup Brothers in Shifnal.
The project delivered 70 extra care units alongside 60 residential homes, designed to meet HE grant funding criteria under the 2017 programme. The remaining units were delivered as private housing, creating a high-quality, mixed-tenure scheme that supports local community needs.
The development provided purpose-built accommodation to support independent living and community integration, combining specialist extra care units with standard residential homes. The scheme enhanced local housing provision while meeting all relevant funding and planning requirements.

Morson Praxis supported the project from its introduction to Wrekin Housing and assisted with the land purchase. Our services included CDM support, civil and structural engineering, employer’s agent duties, principal designer responsibilities, and quantity surveying throughout the project’s delivery.
The completed scheme delivers a high-quality mix of extra care and residential units that meet funding requirements, address community needs, and provide sustainable housing for Shifnal.
