Client Brief
Delivering a Sustainable Engineering Facility
Skanska required the design of a new purpose-built engineering manufacturing workshop at the existing Bentley Works site, alongside the refurbishment and expansion of supporting facilities.
The project needed to deliver modern manufacturing, office, and workshop spaces while meeting ambitious sustainability objectives, including achieving a BREEAM rating of Excellent and supporting the client’s long-term zero-carbon aspirations.
Project Overview
Developing a Modern Engineering and Manufacturing Hub
The development included the construction of a new 3,800m² engineering manufacturing workshop, bespoke spray facilities, a 1,950m² two-storey design and administration building, and the refurbishment of an existing 1,500m² fabrication workshop.
Morson Praxis provided Civil and Structural Engineering together with Mechanical and Electrical Design services, supporting the project from feasibility through to detailed design, tender review, and technical support.
