We design signalised and unsignalised layouts, roundabouts, ghost islands and priority junctions, modelling performance with ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and VISSIM. Those outputs feed into Transport Assessments and planning inquiry submissions. The quality of the modelling is what separates a scheme that gets through from one that doesn’t.


Pavement and drainage

Carriageway engineering that holds up over time

Surface condition and drainage are connected. A carriageway that drains poorly deteriorates faster, creates more risk in wet conditions and costs more to maintain. We assess existing pavement condition, specify appropriate treatment and design new carriageway sections to current standards. Drainage is designed to meet SuDS requirements from the outset, with hydraulic performance, adoptability and whole-life cost considered together rather than in sequence.

Bridges, culverts and retaining walls

A highway scheme that crosses a railway, a river or another road is structured around that constraint. We design highway bridges, culverts, retaining walls and subways, coordinating with Network Rail and the Environment Agency where those interfaces arise. A missed coordination point with either body can change the scope entirely. We bring those conversations in early, which is where they belong.
