Morson Praxis was appointed to provide multi-disciplinary design services for a new state-of-the-art distribution centre.
Ocado Group required specialist design and engineering expertise to support the development of its £210 million Customer Fulfilment Centre, creating a highly efficient facility capable of meeting growing customer demand.
Following the successful delivery of the initial structural design, Morson Praxis was further appointed to support the expansion of the dispatch area, ensuring the facility could continue to optimise automated operations and increase capacity.
Morson Praxis initially provided the structural design for Ocado’s Customer Fulfilment Centre before being appointed to deliver the architecture, civil engineering, and structural design for the extension of the dispatch area.
The completed facility incorporates highly sophisticated automation technology, enabling the distribution centre to fulfil up to 200,000 customer orders each week. The dispatch extension also accommodates two new in-situ scissor lift platforms, supporting the efficient movement of goods throughout the facility.
