Morson Praxis is proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in four categories at the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards 2026, recognising our commitment to collaboration, innovation, infrastructure excellence, and people development across the built environment sector.
The shortlist reflects the strength of our teams, partnerships, and continued investment in delivering forward-thinking engineering and digital solutions that create lasting value for clients and communities.
Morson Praxis are delighted to be shortlisted in the following four categories:
- Infrastructure Award
- Innovation Award
- Integration & Collaboration Award
- People & Culture Award
Recognising Innovation Through Panoptic Bridge Management
Our shortlistings for the Infrastructure, Innovation and Integration & Collaboration Award categories celebrate the success of the Panoptic Bridge Management project, delivered in collaboration with Network Rail, Nottingham Trent University and Birmingham City University.
The project is helping transform bridge inspections through advanced digital engineering technologies, including point cloud modelling, immersive virtual environments, machine learning and AI-supported defect identification. The system enables engineers to undertake virtual examinations remotely, improving safety, reducing disruption to rail services, and supporting smarter long-term asset management.
The collaborative approach between industry and academia has enabled the development of innovative digital inspection solutions that support Network Rail’s wider ambitions around infrastructure digitisation and asset intelligence.
Investing in People & Culture
Being shortlisted for the People & Culture Award recognises Morson Praxis’ commitment to developing an inclusive, supportive and forward-thinking workplace culture.
Our people remain at the heart of our business. Through initiatives such as our Early Careers Development Programme, Leadership Development Programme and STEM engagement activities, we continue to invest in attracting, developing and retaining engineering talent across the East Midlands and beyond.
Today, over one fifth of our workforce is part of our Early Careers Development Programme, supported by a network of dedicated mentors and structured professional development pathways. We also continue to champion diversity and inclusion through partnerships with universities, schools, and industry initiatives that inspire the next generation of engineers.
Driving Better Outcomes Through Collaboration
Across every shortlisted category, collaboration has been central to success. By bringing together expertise from industry, academia and client teams, Morson Praxis continues to develop practical, data-driven solutions that improve safety, efficiency and long-term infrastructure performance.
These shortlistings are a testament to the dedication, expertise and innovation demonstrated by our teams and partners every day.
We look forward to attending the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards 2026 and celebrating alongside the wider industry.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 25th June at The Athena, Leicester.
