Morson Praxis was appointed to provide multi-disciplinary services for a £10 million extra care and residential development for Jessup Brothers in Shifnal. The scheme combined both extra care and residential units, delivering high-quality housing to meet the needs of the local community.
The project delivered 70 extra care units alongside 60 residential units. It was designed to meet the criteria for HE grant funding under the 2017 programme, with the remaining units delivered as private housing.
The development provided purpose-built accommodation to support independent living and community integration, combining specialist extra care units with standard residential homes. The scheme enhanced local housing provision while meeting all relevant funding and planning requirements.

Morson Praxis supported the project from its introduction to Wrekin Housing and assisted with the land purchase. Our services included CDM support, civil and structural engineering, employer’s agent duties, principal designer responsibilities, and quantity surveying throughout the project’s delivery.
The completed scheme delivers a high-quality mix of extra care and residential units that meet funding requirements, address community needs, and provide sustainable housing for Shifnal.
